A pair of bonded Bull Terriers - REHOMED
« on: July 05, 2012, 09:16:44 pm »
This beautiful pair of white bullies, one female 7 years and one male 5 years have lived together for the last 5 years. They are the best of friends and need to be homed together as they will pine without each other. They sleep, eat and play together.

They are dog friendly (will ignore), cat friendly (again will ignore) and have been sheep and horse tested and are fine with all.

They have been brought up around young children (nieces and nephews) but as they have not lived with them all the time we would recommend rehoming with older dog savvy children.

They will be full vacc'd and neutered prior to rehoming and will be in the South East if you want to visit.

Please can someone offer them their forever home and make the transition as easy for them as possible? they are a joy to have around and have been much loved family dogs for all their lives and are only coming into rescue due to a change in personal circumstances of the owner that means they reluctantly can no longer keep them.  :(

We seem to have real spate of rescue bullies needing homes right now.

These will be harder tohome as they must stay together which is why I put them up here. Will take a special family but you couldn't get better behaved, socialised bullies as these two.

I know it so tempting isn't it, to take this pair on. Wont have to do those long slow careful introductions, already share a bed, can eat together and play together....  :D

I tell you what, if I didn't work and could be home more, these two would be joining my household. ;D ;D

Will bear that in mind - thank you bullie J&N xx

Missy
« Reply #7 on: July 06, 2012, 09:37:36 pm »
From her owner:

Name: Missy
Pet name: Moo Moo’s
Age: 7 years
Birthday: 25th March

Temperament
Missy is the most loving dog; she loves cuddles and attention and is a loyal companion. Missy is extremely independent and has a great fun personality she is very intelligent and non-aggressive by nature, she will look at the fridge freezer waiting for her nightly treat of an ice cube for which she adores (strange I know). She is walked three times a day twice around the block (morning and last thing in the evening) and one walk for at least one hour on the meadows or canal paths. She is a welcoming and sociable dog, loves children and other dogs, I have cats that live next door that don’t bother her in the slightest. On walks she encounters large cattle, cows, horses etc. with no issues from an early age, she is very well socialised and makes the perfect example of the bull terrier breed.
She sleeps under the stairs next to Willis, they are inseparable as he has been with her since he was 9 weeks of age, Willis will copy everything that Missy does, and she is his role model and mate for life.
She does love to sleep in my bed with me from time to time, I know it’s bad! But it can’t be helped as she is adorable. When in her own bed she likes a blanket…If you can cover her up from head to toe in the evening before she goes to sleep she will love you forever.

Food
Missy eats a dry diet with a variety of meat and tripe;she is fed one large meal a day in the evening around 17.00hrs, with a pig’s ear snack from time to time.

Dislikes
Missy thinks when hovering it’s time to play, she will claw at the hoover and bark, if you say get in your bed in a strong voice she will know play time is over,  She doesn’t like loud bangs or sounds and will scare with things such as fireworks.

Walking
Walks well off the lead in safe areas, loves to explore so don’t be afraid if she trots on ahead, she will always take the lead of Willis. Missy also walks well on her lead. She will recall no issues, but has a really bad habit of rolling in duck poo this isn’t an attractive sight.

Skin Care for Bullies
Please always bathe Missy and Willis in sensitive dog wash as they will react to others, Missy doesn’t like her nails being cut, but will never show aggression just discomfort.

Missy was my first dog, for which I will miss like can’t explain. Please love and look after her and in return you will have a companion for life.

Willis

From the owner:

Name: Willis
Pet name: Willy bob or Wilber
Age: 5 years
Birthday: 19th April

Temperament
Willis is an amazing dog, he always looks to follow Missy's lead and is much more confident when she is at his side, he is silly and playful and a little daft, not as clever as Missy but that’s what makes him adorable, he will sit with you for hours wanting his belly tickled and lapping up the attention. He is walked three times a day twice around the block (morning and last thing in the evening) and one walk for at least one hour on the meadows or canal paths. Willis is the sort of dog that minds his own business, whereas Missy will be straight in there Willis will be stood by your side looking for you to say go son its fine…, I have cats that live next door that don’t bother him in the slightest. On walks he encounters large cattle, cows, horses etc. with no issues from an early age, he again is very well socialised and is the s example of the bull terrier breed.
He sleeps under the stairs next to Missy, they are inseparable as he has been with her since the age of 9 weeks of age, Willis will copy everything that Missy does, and she is his role model and mate for life.

Food
Willis eats a dry diet with a variety of meat and tripe; he is fed one large meal a day in the evening around 17.00hrs, with a pig’s ear snack from time to time like missy.

Dislikes
He doesn’t like loud bangs or sounds and will scare with things such as fireworks.

Walking
Willis Walks well off the lead in safe areas, He will follow Missy everywhere but she will always take the lead, most of the time he will not leave your side as he likes to have a firm eye on daddy. Willis also walks well on his lead. He will recall no issues

Skin Care for Bullies
Please always bathe Missy and Willis in sensitive dog wash as they will react to others, Willis is fine with his nails being cut. However isn’t over keen on a bath, he will show no aggression but worry and discomfort, the best thing is to secure him in the bath as otherwise you well end up dripping wet and it will be a constant struggle to keep him in the bath.

Willis is my daft playful little boy... again for whom I will miss like can’t explain. Please play and be silly with him as he loves it and love and adore him and he will give twice fold in return.

Their owners must be gutted to give this pair up - I feel for them, it is obvious this is very painful for them. I couldn't imagine having to give up Polls, she drives me mad but I wouldn't be without her.

I do hope they get a lovely forever home that will let them stay together forever.
