They sound adorable and obviously love each other now if we humans could be just like Spud and Muffin how great would this world be.

True - and same as us humans..... the male wanders around quite oblivious to dangers with no concerns and no worries as to the future... when he gets himself into trouble, guess who comes a running to save him! yup the female........

As a result he gets assesssed as a laid back calm dog and she gets assesed as the more manic, stressed and hyper one - now I wonder why - when all the worry is on her shoulders 

Joking aside......We desperately need them in a loving home where they can build up trust and Muffin can stop feeling Spud is her responsibility and just enjoy being a lottle dog. She is finding it stressful in kennels as all the dogs near them are seen as potential threats and she has to be on guard, she is losing her appetite now the initial hunger has been abated. They would both thrive in a safe and secure home environment. PLEASE

Oh ruth, that is so sad, poor little muffin - hopefully someone will come through for them. They have so many supporters out there, will medical bills be covered?

soosiesu - All donations are still being gratefully received as spare funds will go to Spud's eye op. but if you wish to wait until after his eye assessment we will know then if it is operable.

Yes poor little Muffin I know how she feels caring for my 3 kids and my husband she must be exhausted.

A nice warm loving home would be wonderful for them I will say a little pray for them you never know.

sorry guys, Spud's eye appointment is tomorrow so we shall find out if we can save what little sight he has left in his one eye  He is improving in leaps and bounds and is steadily putting on weight - he is lovely natured and loves everything and every one but is getting unhappy in kennels.

Muffin on the other hand is very stressed in kennels - not eating her food and also barking at the other dogs around them - we are not sure whether this is because she is looking out for Spud or just doesn't like them all around her or is just because she is stressed anyway.

They are both superb with children....... even with a screaming hysterical 4 year old laying on the floor!

There must be someone who can make their day and show them there are kind and caring people out there and that life does not have to be a hrdship.... please

Oh please.....can someone help spud and muffin.....I so wish we could....they truly deserve a lovely home to call their own....and just to be loved and cared for....good with children....is marvellous....just like toddy!....pleeeeeeeeese help someone out there....you will be truly reward with two wonderful bullies to enhance youre lives.........there must be someone....oh pleeeeeeese
