The woman, who has not been identified but is aged 42, was mauled as she walked her own dog on the playing fields close to Camp Hill Primary School earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, August 22).
It is understood that she suffered serious injuries to both her hands as she tried to stop an English Bull Terrier dog from attacking her own pet.

very sad...for all concerned...but you wouldn't put your hands between a dog that is attacking another dog..would you..obviously  the woman was bitten as she intervened.. but the problem was the dog attacking the other dog...were they off lead ..???

Well if Archie had a dog fight he would be on lead so I would not agree to having him pts no matter what he did to the other dog.

I would feel awful for the other dog but it's owner would be to blame - although they never see it that way. Your dog should be muzzled is the usual response >:( >:( >:(

Sounds like it was because she intervened but if they bite people it doesn't matter why or how it happens they can be pts and it does sound as though it was quite serious bites ???
