He sounds just like our last ebt was when we got him at 13 months old and he turned out to be an excellent dog after some hard work and training. Sadly he died aged 14 years old in November so we are now looking for another rescue dog (ebt) and would love to help but unfortunately we live in County Durham which is 5 hours away. He looks and sounds the ideal bull terrier and I cant believe he's still there after 4 months, if only we were a bit closer.

Well that is a shame Gilly - I have been to visit him and he pulls like a steam engine, he cannot concentrate for long on anything you say to him because he is just so excited to be out, he snatches treats until you remind him your fingers are attached but despite all of this, if you know bull terriers, you will recognise a lovely happy dog that is just desperate for attention, new experiences and love.

However as we all know it is a long hard path to get past that initial stage and then to enjoy the beautiful fun loving, affectionate dogs they will become.

Novice bull terrier owners are put off by his initial over the top behaviour.  :(

he sounds exactly our last one we are racking our brains how to get him , do you think he would be ok in the car for 5 hours ? ( toilet stops obviously ) or are the kennels set on him being homed local?, someone is going to be so lucky to have him .

Try approaching Foal farm direct, fill in their online application form and in the 'other information' box at the end tell them you are interested and an experienced owner, say you saw him on the bull terrier trust site.

They do homechecks so if they will only do local, let me know and I will talk to them to see if they will allow a BTT homecheck.

Gilly and Trev how wonderful of you to offer to give little Fayo a chance of a new home and worthwhile life.
I wish you the v.best and as we know the more challenging things are the more rewarding they can be...especially bullies ;D
